Best Buy has a nice deal on the Toshiba Satellite L755D-S5218 15-inch screen AMD quad core powered laptop, it’s $ 399.99 with Free shipping or in store pickup.  That’s a lot cheaper than the $ 555.99 that Toshiba is asking for this online and under $ 400 for a Quad Core powered laptop is about as good as you’re going to get.  Here are the specs on this Satellite L755D-S5218 that’s on sale:

The reviews on the Satellite L755D-S5218 on BestBuy.com are actually pretty positive, giving the laptop a 4.4 out of 5 star rating based on 34 reviews, a good number.  We reviewed the Intel equipped Toshiba Satellite L755 here, it has the same build quality and finish as the L755D AMD version.  Here is our conclusion for that Core i3-2310m equipped laptop that is very similar:

The Satellite L755 (or Satellite L750 if you configure it on Toshiba.com) is what I call a very safe choice for a laptop.  It has just the right amount of speed and performance for the typical student or home user, it doesn’t break the budget and it’s design is decent though not stunning.  Is the L755 built as well as a business laptop or MacBook Pro?  No, but it also costs half as much.  You can spend $ 1,000 and get a nicer laptop than the Satellite L755, but will it be twice as good as the $ 499 you can pay for this on Amazon.com?  Not likely, so if the Satellite L755 fits your needs in a laptop, meaning you don’t need it to do any intense 3D gaming and you don’t need something that’s extremely portable and easy to carry, the Satellite L755 is it.

Since this L755D laptop is only $ 399.99 at BestBuy and has a Quad core processor and better graphics you should get about the same amount of performance as the more expensive Intel equipped model.
