Mashable recently published an article detailing the experience of a woman who has had his iPhone 4 “popping up in smoke”, as she slept in a hotel room. 4 The iPhone was plugged into an Apple charger on the nightstand beside the bed where the early morning she awoke to a strange odor and noticed a sizzling and popping noises from the phone. As the smoke filled room, she used her laptop case to pick up the phone and throw it into the hotel room sink.
/> It was not mentioned what caused the iPhone to behave this way, but it seems that as a problem with the phone’s battery, as opposed to a problem with the phone. These manufacturing defects are inevitable, especially if one considers the number of iPhones Apple sold.
