The National Geographic Society continues to enjoy its 125th anniversary, plus has established a Tumblr website called ‘Found‘, that hosts a curated assortment of images within the National Geographic archives. The curation is completed by Nat Geo’s William Bonner that has been scanning by the company’s extensive photography archive inside the basement of its Washington, D.C. headquarters.

The posted pictures are a blend of nostalgia plus eccentricity. The following pic of Alexander Graham Bell, kissing his spouse Mabel in the tetrahedral kite is a advantageous illustration.

The organization explains, ‘In honor of the 125th anniversary, you are showcasing photos which show cultures plus moments of the past. Many of these images have not been published plus are seldom watched by the public. Their beauty has been lost to the outside planet for a long time plus most pictures are lost their authentic date or place.’

There are just 13 pictures found on the Found Tumblr gallery, however, to continue to date because hot images are added, you are able to, follow the progress here. Meanwhile, you promise to frequently reblog a few of the pictures about DPReview’s Tumblr blog for the fans.
