Samsung Focus Flash hands-on [Video]
Today on the SlashGear test bench we have another neat Windows Phone 7.5 Mango device to show everyone. Announced back in September and hitting the shelves in just a few days is the Samsung Focus Flash and the Samsung Focus S. While very similar, today we’ll be quickly showing you the smaller of the two, the Focus Flash. It may be smaller in size but the specs are very similar and this AMOLED packing smartphone both looks and feels impressive. If you’ve used a Samsung smartphone in the past the look and feel will both be familiar here. The difference is we have Windows Phone 7.5 Mango on board with the Focus Flash. It also looks very similar to the original Samsung Focus we reviewed here, only the screen is actually smaller coming in at just 3.7″ rather than a 4″ display like the original. There is a trade off [...]
Grand Theft Auto 5 Announced (Video)
I still remember the fun I had while playing GTA 2. Years have passed and Grand Theft Auto 5 has been announced and even a trailer has come out. All Grand Theft Auto titles included fast cars, gang members, the mafia, the police (not the band), guns, explosions and the cheats that made the game so funny. The story however is different but we’d better see the trailer first: Rockstar Games is still working on it since it didn’t give us an official launch date but we guess 2012 is the safest bet. Canon EOS C300 Digital Cinema Camera revealed [Video demo]
This week Canon has launched a camera that’ll seek to be putting Red Scarlet and Arri Alexa in their place. It’s the brand new Canon C300 cinema camera and it’s been revealed at Hollywood’s Paramount Studios where a crowd included journalists and the film industry elite – including no less than Martin Scorsese apparently. This fantastic looking camera has no less than an EF or PL mount (not both, different models,) 1080p video capture, two CF card slot, timecode, and HD-SDI output. Canon Chairman and CEO Fujio Mitarai stood in front of the in Hollywood noting that the camera is not only well-suited for accurate color correction, but is especially well made for skin tones. The C300 will be costing $ 20,000 USD in stores starting in 2012 and will be completely unaffordable by the likes of you and me. Word also states that the undeniably powerful sensor in addition [...]
Microsoft Productivity Future Vision (2011) released [Video]
In what’s becoming a lovely trend from manufacturers all over the map, videos showing conceptual futures where technology has completely transformed the way we go about our daily lives have been emerging – this newest one comes from Microsoft who sees one magical gadget after another, after another. Earlier this month there was a video by the name of “Microsoft Office Labs Vision 2019,” now there’s one called “Productivity Future Vision (2011),” both of them fantastically edited and made to make devices impossible to make with today’s technology seem rather possible by sight. It’s the very first invention that’s got my attention, for sure – as a woman walks up to a road in front of what must be an airport, she hears a language she does not understand coming over the intercom. At a tap of her glasses, she’s got instant translation into her own English. Sort of reminds [...]

More details after the jump. Official info has appeared on Dell’s community forum regarding the upcoming Dell Latitude ST. Shadowgun released for Android today, we go hands-on (again) [Video]
In one foul swoop, it appears the the folks at Madfinger and NVIDIA have crushed the rest of Android with a game that takes the platform to a whole new level of gaming intensity. We got to check this game out earlier this month in its pre-release state, and today’s the day the full version is released on the Android Market and through the official NVIDIA Tegra Zone. Is your Android rough and tough enough to bust a cap in a bunch of mutants, robots, and mutant robot hybrids? It all depends on if your processor is a Tegra! Ours is, right here on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and we’re going hands-on again now with the final build. What you’ll notice about this game right out of the box is that while there’s only a few controls, the game is certainly not simple. You’ll be solving puzzles, doing mini-hacks, [...]
Samsung Stratosphere Review [Video]
The next step forward in having the mobile world adopt a connection speed isn’t always necessarily straight to the newest high for specs, and the Samsung Stratosphere is here to prove it. Fitted with a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard complete with Android menu shortcuts and coming in as the second Samsung handset to work on Verizon’s 4G LTE network, the Samsung Stratosphere isn’t here to win any benchmark wars with its single-core 1GHz processor and relatively thick chassis, but it IS the only 4G LTE device on the market with a full QWERTY keyboard, and the 4-inch 800 × 480 Super AMOLED display doesn’t hurt none either. Will the Stratosphere access a market just waiting to be tapped? We shall see! Hardware This is a device that someone who seeks only the 4G LTE Verizon connection speed and absolutely cannot live without a full QWERTY keyboard that slides out from [...]

Dell has been working to get into the tablet market for a long time, as have several other firms. A new video was apparently posted early to the web by Dell that shows off the firms Latitude ST tablet that is running Windows 7 and aimed at the business, medical, and education markets. The video shows the tablet in the business realm allowing the user to wander around the office collaborating and working on things and then marching back to the cubicle and docking the tablet on a docking station. That docking station shoots the video out to a larger screen to make working more comfortable. The docking station also appears to support a keyboard and mouse. The tablet has a USB port for accessories and a memory card reader. The video also touts the tablets ability to connect to projectors and wireless networks. The tablet also has front and [...]
NVIDIA shows off dazzling enhancements in Batman: Arkham City [Video]
It’s time to check out Batman: Arkham City for the first OFFICIAL time running with NVIDIA’s DirectX 11 Graphics and GPU Physics, certainly a sight to behold and set to be released on November 15th! In short, this game Arkham City builds on the ground-breaking 2009 game by the name of Batman: Arkham Asylum, one of the first games on the market to make use of Hardware-Accelerated PhysX effects which enhanced not only background details but incidental items as well, plus whole levels such as, as NVIDIA notes, the Scarecrow’s nightmare world* (*included at the end of this post, for those of you that’ve never been there.) Now behold, footage from Arkham City, a game running with the graphics card it was made to run with, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560, with PhysX enabled for the greatest amount of detail you can imagine! On the left of the screen here [...]
