So what’s there to look forward to at the biggest wireless show in North America? Actually, plenty, but this year the emphasis is more on apps, services and accessories instead of just hardware. Here’s five trends we see for CTIA. 1. Mobile Payments Get a Real Push from MasterCard, Visa Since Google Wallet launched last year, we’ve seen a serious lull in meaningful mobile payment news. Breil Paparazzo concept watch will sit well with photographers
By Tyler Lee on 02/29/2012 03:30 PST Photography enthusiasts, if you’re looking for a watch that proudly displays your love of the visual arts, then this Breil Paparazzo watch by Finnish designer Nils Kajander could be worth checking out, although it should be noted that this is merely a concept at the moment. As most photographers have probably already noticed, the Breil Paparazzo features a watch face that looks like a shutter, a long with a dial that looks like a lens. The ring of watch is also reminiscent of a camera’s lens, but instead of the numbers around the ring indicating focal length, they are instead used to help tell the date. Granted it’s not exactly positioned for easy viewing, it’s still a pretty clever and novel use of the space. To top it all off, the watch’s crown has been designed in the shape of a self-timer knob. [...]

Hailing from the company known as Happy Hour Time Pieces (how apt), this California-based accessories company will create and deliver such special and innovative timepieces that will not eschew clean, contemporary design for functionality, as it offers both, targeting especially the action sports, music and street culture communities. Sporting a patented bottle opener on the buckle, each watch actually contains a Citizen 2035 within, where it is water resistant to 5atm, and will be encased with stainless steel while a smooth calf leather band ensures it remains wrapped around your wrist securely.
